Hey everyone, my name is Laura Patterson and I’m originally from Buffalo, NY. I came to Charleston, SC after graduating college with my boyfriend. When Covid first started I was laid off of work and needed to find a hobby to keep myself busy. That’s when I bought my first load of live edge slabs from a local source. I had no clue what to do with them, yet… That’s when I decided to pick up a wood burning tool for the first time. Instantly I fell in love with the idea to turn my art into a functional piece, a chartuterie board! My hobby became an aspiration and after two years, WildBark Design was founded.
